As the Master of ABC Lodge  No. 37 it always gives me a warm feeling when I can recognize someone special, a Brother who has been of great and continuing assistance to me or a Brother who is always ready to jump in to help me or help our Lodge.  From my vantage point in the East, I can easily identify several Brothers who have been a great support to me, to our Lodge and to Freemasonry.  So it makes it difficult to single out one Brother who deserves to be recognized as our Mason of the Year.  There were many attributes that I considered before I made my decision.  Of all of these, I believe the most important to be that the Brothers of ABC Lodge No. 37 would support my choice and applaud my selection for this year’s Mason of the Year.

It therefore gives me very great pleasure to introduce to you, my choice for Mason of the Year – Brother Senior Deacon, please escort Brother (full name) to the East so that I may formally introduce him.

Brethren – I am proud to introduce Brother (full name) who is my choice as Mason of the Year (applause).  Brother Secretary, make the usual notation in the minutes.

Brother (full name) you will be presented with your award at a public ceremony where your Brothers, their ladies and your friends, neighbors and relatives may attend as witnesses.   This meeting will be held on (date).  You will also be our guest, recognized and honored at our Annual District Dinner Dance to be held on (date).
