Grand Lodge Awards

Membership Development Award:  Each lodge that raises nine (9) new Master Masons in any year is entitled to a Lodge Recognition Certificate.  To qualify the new Brothers listed must have been raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason during the year prior to the date that the application is submitted.
 

The DeWitt Clinton Award:  This is the first and only award of its kind to be presented by the Grand Lodge of the State of New York since its formation in 1781.  The award recognizes distinguished or outstanding community service by a non-Masonic organization or individual whose actions exemplify a shared concern for the well-being of Mankind and a belief in the worldwide brotherhood of man.

Each presentation of this Award in public ceremonies throughout the communities of this State demonstrates Freemasonry's historic concern and fraternal high esteem for voluntary services and individual involvement through contributions of time, skill and financial support given freely toward truly significant endeavors in the public interest.
 

Community Service Award:  This award is for an individual Brother, Lodge or District which demonstrates outstanding service to the Community or to a Group or Individual within the community.  The service must be of a voluntary basis that is performed for the concern and well being of that community, group or individual.
 

The Howard W. Potts Award:  Any Lodge which has perfect attendance of the Lodge Officers at Grand Lecturer Conventions is entitled to receive this award.  Perfect attendance consists of the Master, Senior and Junior Wardens, Senior and Junior Deacons and Senior and Junior Masters of Ceremony who were elected, appointed and installed.  The Grand Lecturer will determine if the Lodge meets the requirements.

The award will be presented by the Grand Master at the Annual Grand Lodge Convention.

 

Individual - Grand Lodge Membership Development Award:  Each Brother who signs five (5) Petitions for Initiation and Advancement is entitled to an Individual Recognition Certificate.  To qualify the new Brothers listed must have submitted their petitions during the year prior to the date that the application is submitted.
 

Ritual Contest Participation Award:  This certificate is presented to each Brother who participates in the Annual Ritual Contest.  The award is to recognize the individuals interest and performance in the competition and acknowledges his efforts in advancing Ritual Excellence in the Grand Jurisdiction of New York.  This award is presented by the Assistant Grand Lecturer.
 

General Douglas MacArthur Youth Award:  This award recognizes distinguished or outstanding voluntary community service by a non-Masonic organization or individuals whose actions exemplify our shared concern as Masons for the well-being of the minds and bodies of the youth of our communities.
